Marriage Story 2019

This is one of the most honest and genuinely emotional movies I’ve ever seen. The way the film handles the topic of divorce is simply compelling. It doesn’t take sides, it doesn’t show these constant fights or any of that nonsense. Instead it delves into the human moments, where people aren’t screaming or throwing things but it still delivers the emotional impact. Adam Driver is one of the best actors of this generation, and I’m sorry Joaquin but I think Kylo Ren is going to get best actor beause holy hell was he phenomenal in this movie. Scarlett Johansson is also brilliant. And there is one scene where they do have a full screaming match and that’s probably my favourite scene in cinema this year (Endgame included). What a spectacularly written, directed and acted movie. One of my favourites of the year, if not my favourite. 2019 is the year of cinema. It’s on Netflix, go watch it.
