Memento (2000) – Reviewed 8th September 2019

This movie takes some time to process. It’s reverse storytelling pattern and complex plot structure make it a very dense and interesting watch. It’s very compelling in it’s narrative and leaves you interested throughout. It’s shorter run time helps it cut down on the nonsense and leaves you asking many questions in the end. Nolan is a masterful director and he helms his craft in this movie quite well. Guy Pierce is phenomenal as a man with short-term memory loss. My only problem with the film is that it’s a bit too confusing and makes you think way more than you need to in a film. It’s entertaining, but it’s more of an art film. I may be the only one that thinks that. But watch it for sure, it’s a great exercise for your mind.
