The Meyerowitz Stories (New and Selected) 2017

After watching Marriage Story, I HAD TO go and watch Noah Baumbach’s other work and since this on Netflix, I decided to go for it. I did not regret my decision at all. This is such a unique and different film, I’ve never seen anything like it. It’s one of the most realistic movies I’ve ever watched, particularly in the dialogue. People don’t listen to each other while speaking and often talk over each other which makes for a really interesting viewing. You have to pay attention while watching this movie because of how dense it is in plot and rich dialogue. The characters are so three-dimensional and interesting. I really enjoyed this movie and loved it almost as much as Marriage Story, but the vibe and tone are really different. Also, holy shit, Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller and Dustin Hoffman give some of the best performances of their career. This really is an incredible film. And I think that if you want to watch something different and a bit odd, definitely check this gem out on Netflix.
