This is the most exciting and fast-paced movie I’ve ever watched in my life. Adam Sandler gives the best performance of his career. This movie is on a whole other level of overwhelming. It’s always hitting you with visuals and auditory cues. You can’t breathe for a second during this movie. It’s oddly therapeutic in a way. There are scenes where 5 different characters are having 5 different conversations at the same time and everyone is understood perfectly. If you love basketball, then this movie will be even more special for you. Kevin Garnett is a surprisingly good actor and his role in this movie is one that you shouldn’t miss. The Weeknd’s surprise cameo is also one of the most important scenes in the movie and doesn’t get wasted as a mere cameo. The last shot of the film puts the entire thing into perspective. This is one of my favourite movies from last year and would have definitely been in my top 3 had I been able to watch it last year. I absolutely loved Uncut Gems, it’s on Netflix, go watch it. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT. ESPECIALLY IF YOU LOVE BASKETBALL.
