Entourage (S1 & S2) Review

Season 1 – 7.5/10

Entourage is one of my favourite shows of all time. I decided that as I rewatch it for the third time I’ll review it because I seriously think more people should check out this show.

Entourage revolves around fictional movie star Vincent Chase and his ‘entourage’ of eccentric and interesting friends. There’s Eric Murphy, commonly known as E who is Vince’s childhood friend and manager and guides Vince in the right direction. There’s Turtle, another one of Vince’s childhood friends who drives him around and acts as his personal assistant. And finally Johnny Drama who’s Vince’s (MUCH) older brother who still lives off his glory days as an actor on a Sci-fi show from back in the 90s. And who can forget, the most compelling character to come out of the show, the most influential on how Hollywood agents were portrayed since then Ari Gold, Vince’s big-shot agent who is a hard-working, family man who has a wild side.

What makes this first season so special is that it pioneered this rough side of HBO, with their swearing, nudity and uncensored content. Every character is developed over the course of the season and it shows of it’s impressive cast of celebrity cameos from Jessica Alba to Snoop Dogg, it’s got everyone. Check out Season One to be introduced to one of the most unique and interesting takes on Hollywood that gives you an inside look into one of the most crazy industries in America.
