A movie like Megamind is a rarity nowadays. It was way ahead of its time. Just the concept itself is so absurd and yet to so reminiscent. If only this movie had come out, say, 5 years later! It would have been critically acclaimed and would have been dubbed as brilliant satire. Sadly, this film came out in 2010. The genius of the writing went over the heads of the contemporary critics as the overload of superhero cinema was just in its early stages. Megamind is beautifully written and performed. The animation is good but not close to the standards set by Pixar at the time. Will Ferrel, Brad Pitt (YES, THAT BRAD PITT) and Tina Fey are BRILLIANT in this movie. This is a masterpiece and is one of the most hilarious and intelligent movies out there. If you somehow haven’t watched it, please do.
