My Top 10 TV Shows

DISCLAIMER – THIS IS MY OPINION! IF YOU DISAGREE WITH THIS RANKING, THAT IS YOUR OPINION.

Television is an art form quite similar to and yet quite different than film. Where film has a limited time to say it’s story, television has a lot more time and space to develop its characters and stories. However, television requires more commitment of time and energy as well as emotion.

The process, although time-consuming can also be extremely gratifying. It has a certain payoff, that often film can’t provide. I have been watching television shows as long as I have been watching film but I find it harder to review a television show than a movie because of the fluctuation in quality across several episodes. But here I have attempted to compile a list of my favourite TV shows. I hope you enjoy my article and check out these shows if you get the chance.

Honourable Mentions

These are shows that I really like, that didn’t make my Top 10 by just a whisker. These are also great shows and I will list where you can catch them in India!

The Good Place – Netflix

The Office – Amazon Prime Video

The Flash – Hotstar

Marvel’s Daredevil – Netflix

Marvel’s Jessica Jones – Netflix

And let the Top Ten Begin,

10. The Boys

Where to Stream – Amazon Prime Video (Prime Original)

Although only one season of this show has been released, I already felt that it was one of the most incredible shows I’ve watched. The plot revolves around superheroes who are controlled by a corporation for economic benefit and their corruption and dirty behaviour. It’s one of the most interesting shows in its use of world-building and makes for great entertainment. The writing and plot progression is also beautiful and Season 1 ends on such a great note that it leaves your famished for Season 2 and more.

9. American Vandal

Where to Stream – Netflix (Netflix Original)

American Vandal is one of the most unique shows I’ve ever watched. It is a ‘mockumentary’ but it’s so well made and produced that it feels like it’s a real documentary. It got cancelled by Netflix after two seasons, which I felt was not a good decision as this is one of the most hilarious and authentic shows out there. The characters and mystery is built-up so well in both season, you tend to forget that this isn’t real at times. I highly recommend this if you want to watch something that is both hilarious and filled with intrigue and suspense at the same time.
