This show is incredible! It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen from the Star Wars universe and yet is has this eerie similarity in many ways! It’s so unique in its storytelling format and just makes you enthralled with the entire world and the characters of the story. Pedro Pascal is the reason this show works. For a main character whose face you don’t see for most of the runtime, he is incredibly compelling. His acting is top-notch, giving so much expression with so little tools to express himself. The supporting cast (ESPECIALLY BABY YODA) is also phenomenal. They pull you into the story in a very fun and exciting way. Jon Favreau’s writing is consistently good throughout the season. My favourite episodes were Chapter 6 and Chapter 8 directed by Rick Famuyiwa and Taika Waititi respectively. The season finale is the most riveting episode of the season and Taika Waititi shows his mastery yet again. It’s already turning out to be one of my favourite shows. I did not binge it and reduced myself to one episode a day instead because it was released in a week-by-week format. I am really looking forward to Season 2 of this show and I can’t wait to see what comes out of Disney+ next! This is a great watch even if you have never watched a single Star Wars movie! Definitely check this one out!
