Instead of writing long reviews for each show I watched, I’m going to do one of these every time I watch/re-watch some shows that I want to recommend.

Narcos : Season 3

Narcos Season 3 is surprisingly my favourite in the brilliant Netflix original. Javier Pena’s character develops a lot in so many ways and the moral grey areas explored in this season are much more complex than anything in Season 2. Jorge Salcedo is one of the most interesting characters and is a great new addition.

Atlanta : Season 1

Atlanta is the hardest show to describe because it’s such a brilliant combination of humor and social commentary. Donald Glover is a genius and you can see it in every episode of this show. The first four episodes are normal in the context of the show, but are incredible compared to anything else on TV. Then the show starts to get high-concept and weird starting with Episode 5 where they have black Justin Bieber, Episode 6 which is very unique and Episode 7 which has got to be one of the best episodes of television ever. The final three episodes are also really fun in their own rights. But Episode 7 is something else, I’ve never seen anything like it!

Community – S1 & S2

Imagine the writer of Rick and Morty (Dan Harmon) teamed up with the directors of Avengers: Endgame (the Russo brothers) before they were famous with a great cast of actors who all went on to make a name for themselves (Alison Brie, Donald Glover, Danny Pudi, Joel McHale) in a show that’s so smart that you’re thinking about the jokes days after you’ve watched them, that’s also simultaneously so funny that you’re laughing hard on the floor the first time you hear them as well. That’s barely doing this show any justice. It’s so rich and well-written, there are so many fun meta-episodes. This is one of the most entertaining sitcoms I’ve ever watched.
