Taika Waititi is such a great director and I’m so glad that Marvel allowed him to bring his brand of humour and style to this film. I absolutely LOVE Thor: Ragnarok. I remember watching it in theatres and thinking “Is this the best MCU movie out there?”. Cause never had I watched something in the MCU that’s so funny and yet has so much heart. Thor was always a one-note character before this film but this added so much depth to the character and it really made him seize his identity. I love how colourful this film is and it’s so fun and enriching to watch the different locations of the film. Chris Hemsworth gives a refreshing performance but the highlight of the film has to be Tom Hiddleston as Loki yet again. His charisma and charm carry some parts of the film and this is another showcase of why he’s such a fan favourite. Taika Waititi’s Korg was also such a brilliant addition and I found myself laughing whenever he came on screen. The fact that a lot of this film was improvised and the dialogue made up on the spot is mind-blowing to me cause it feels so well written and the humour was so witty. Cate Blanchett’s Hela was a decent villain but I still feel like she was the weakest link in the film although how she is defeated was quite ingenious. Overall, I really enjoy this film and it definitely was a breath of fresh air in the MCU.
