DO NOT WATCH THIS FILM I was honestly excited for this film and on the surface it’s not a bad movie. It’s entertaining and has enough intrigue to keep you engaged but here are a list of reasons why you shouldn’t watch or support Enola Holmes in any way. 1. The Social ‘Commentary’ The film is trying to show how powerful and strong Enola is, … Continue reading Why You Shouldn’t Watch Enola Holmes (2020)
Summary – All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur is a sports documentary series focusing on the 2019–20 season of the London football club Tottenham Hotspur. Plot Summary – In the fall of 1997, Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls allowed a film crew to follow them as they went for their sixth NBA title in eight seasons. That resulted in a stunning portrait of one of the sport’s most iconic athletes and a celebrated team. “The Last Dance” follows the Bulls’ 1997-98 season from start to finish, while also covering the rest of the chapters in Jordan’s remarkable career. The 10-part docuseries follows the Jordan timeline from when he was an emerging star on his high school team to becoming a worldwide marketing force and cultural figure. The series takes its name from a phrase coined by then-Bulls coach Phil Jackson, who knew that the season would likely be the final run for the core members of that 1990s Bulls dynasty.

★★★★½ Watched 12 May, 2020 Bad Education is really good. Hugh Jackman plays this superintendent of a school district who’s loved by everyone, but there’s something sinister going on beneath the surface. Alison Janey (of The West Wing fame) is also spectacular in this film. The direction by Corey Finley is so nuanced and balanced. There’s a certain feeling that this movie gives you throughout that’s … Continue reading Bad Education (2020)
★★★★ Watched 27 Apr, 2020 Man, this movie is FUN! I really liked Extraction. It’s not a movie with high artistic quality or filmmaking by any stretch of the imagination, but it’s still very entertaining. Chris Hemsworth is a phenomenal actor, and he shows why in this movie. But he’s not alone, in this cast of mainly Indians (which was great to see), Randeep Hooda and … Continue reading Extraction (2020)
★★★★ Watched 19 Apr, 2020 I’ve watched two six-hour documentaries in the last 5 days and I was blown away by both. Cheer has some of the most incredible documentary filmmaking I’ve ever seen. I never thought I would be so interested in competitive cheerleading but it made me care a lot about something I had no interest in or idea about. That’s when you know … Continue reading Cheer (2020)
★★★★★ Watched 17 Apr, 2020 Let’s say you took the best parts of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Icarus and The Godfather and put them in one six-hour docu-series, that is what McMillion$ is. The way it tells its story is so exhilarating that you never feel like you’re watching something real. But it’s a documentary, EVERYTHING is real! The FBI are a main part of this doc and … Continue reading McMillion$ (2020)
★★★★★ Watched 30 Mar, 2020 As a film critic, I try my best not to read too many reviews before I watch a movie because I don’t want it to influence my opinion. However, as this was a Pixar film, I couldn’t escape the reviews and what all the reviews said was that this was some generic animated movie and that it was mediocre. I’m glad … Continue reading Onward (2020)
★ Watched Mar 30, 2020 I had so much hope for this movie. This is the Suicide Squad spin-off that had so much promise. After Shazam! and Joker, DC were on a hot streak. This is also their first ‘A’ or ‘R’ rated film in this DCEU. But this film is an utter disappointment, it fails in everything it tries to do miserably. It’s not funny, it’s not … Continue reading Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)(2020)
